Pianist Demetrius Nabors Wants You To “Bounce To This”!

New Single Release Scheduled for June 2, 2023

DETROIT – Prolific pianist, composer, producer and arranger Demetrius “Krayon” Nabors presents his latest single, “Bounce To This”, a catchy, soulful contemporary jazz piece that showcases his familiar warm melodic style and smooth jazz grooves.

The single will be released to radio on May 29 (Demetrius’ previous releases have been prominently featured on SiriusXM’s “Watercolors” channel and other radio outlets) and all streaming services on June 2. He will be performing live this summer with Alexander Zonjic (June 2 - Bravo Programs of America Fundraiser at Zuccaro’s Banquet Hall), Lin Rountree and Patrice Rushen (June 14 at The Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre), Tim Bowman (June 17 in Jackson, MI), and more to be announced.

Demetrius is well-known and in-demand in the Detroit area and on the national contemporary jazz scene. He is a two-time Detroit Music Award Winner in the Outstanding Gospel/Christian Musician category.

Demetrius’ considerable talents caught the attention of numerous high-profile national artists, including R&B singer KEM (he is the producer of KEM’s GRAMMY- nominated single, “Nobody”), flutist Althea Rene, guitarist Tim Bowman and trumpeter Willie Bradley. Demetrius’ productions for these artists have also garnered Billboard chart successes:

1. for KEM singles “It’s You” , “Nobody” (2014),
2. for Tim Bowman’s “Fireball” (2021),
3. for Willie Bradley’s “It’s On Now” (2020) and
4. for Althea Rene’s “Barbara Mae” (2019).
